Now is about the time that news begins trickling out about which artists are touring over the summer. While many concert venues have set their schedules, fans might be happy to find that there is a wide array of live music experiences available this summer.

Who’s touring this summer? Country Music fans might happy to know that Carrie Underwood is currently on tour and will continue for a few more months, and Brad Paisley and Brooks & Dunn are also slated to tour soon. Other country music artists set to tour include Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.

While she set herself as a country music singer, Taylor Swift successfully crossed country music lines into pop music in 2009 and her 2010 tour will stop at a number of venues this summer, including two nights at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and stops in Iowa, Ohio, Kansas, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York and other states and venues.

U2 will continue its highly successful 2009 tour into 2010. The Irish rock sensation will make a number of outdoor stops in the United States including stops at the Meadowlands Stadium n New Jersey, the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, Ca., Angels Stadium in Anaheim, Ca., and  Invesco Field in Denver.

Other headline tours this summer include the Dave Matthews Band, Green Day, John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Nickelback and Sting. Elton John and the Eagles will also headline some shows. John will also continue his highly successful Face 2 Face tour with Billy Joel this fall.

Finally, some of the grandfathers (literally) of rock and roll might be on tour this summer. Rumor has it that the Rolling Stones might head out on tour. The band hasn’t since it toured behind 2005’s “A Bigger Bang”.

Rhianna’s single “Rude Boy” jumped from No. 4 to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 released Thursday.

“Rude Boy” marks Rhianna’s sixth Hot 100 No. 1 single. It marks her fifth as a lead artist. Some of her other number No.1 singles include “SOS”, “Take a Bow”, and “Disturbia”.

“Rude Boy” took out Taio Cruz’ “Break Your Heart”, which slipped to No. 3 on the Billboard chart. Lady Antebellum’s “Need You Now” remains in the No. 2 spot. Lady Antebellum is the first country group to sit at the top of the Billboard chart since Billboard launched its Hot 100 in December of 1990. Taylor Swift, as a solo act and Lady Antebellum as a group are the only country acts to have sat at the top of the chart.

The Black Eyed Peas moved from No. 5 to No. 4 with “Imma Be”, which had been a No. 1 hit. Newcomer B.o.B’s “Nothin’ On You” moved quickly from No. 16 to No. 5 and also takes the Digital Gainer award, as it was up 77% in the digital category.

Train’s “Hey, Soul Sister”, which peaked at No. 6, had dropped to No. 7 on the chart last week but rebounded this week back to No.6 on the chart. Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” moved from No. 8 to No. 6.

Jason Derulo’s “In My Head” slid from No. 8 to No. 10 this week. Drake’s “Over” entered at No. 35 this week, and it’s just one of three new titles that appear on the Hot 100. It’s been awarded the Hot 100 Hot Shot Debut for the week.
